Monday—Why do the Israelites think they’ve wasted time obeying God and making shows of repentance? (3:13-15) What did they see as the purpose of obedience and repentance?

Tuesday—Can you relate to the concerns of the Israelites? Are you ever tempted to wonder what the point of following God is if doesn’t make life any better?

Wednesday—What’s the danger in thinking that God owes us a reward (profit) for our obedience to him? (3:14)

Thursday—What is a book of remembrance? (3:16; Esther 6) Why does Jesus caution his disciples about getting too excited that the demons obeyed them? (Luke 10:20; Matthew 7:22)

Friday—What are the two things you can do to prepare for the Lord’s return? (4:4-6) Why do these thing matter? How do they prepare you for his return?
