Baptism is a constant reminder that we must put sin to death on the cross that we might live in the power of the resurrection to God.

1. Monday—What is Romans about? Why would anyone ask a question like: “Are we to continue in sin that grace may abound?” (6:1) What might be their intentions? Who are the two lords in our passage?

2. Tuesday—Discuss the meaning of baptism in the context of Romans 6. What does it mean to be crucified with Jesus? Discuss the kind(s) of experience this might entail.

3. Wednesday—What hope do we have in being identified with Jesus in his death? What is the cruciform life? What was the result of Jesus’s death or “baptism”?

4. Thursday—How should believers respond to Jesus overcoming death? What does it look like for you to not let sin reign in your body?

5. Friday—What kind of witness are we bearing when we use our bodies as instruments for righteousness/justice? Discuss the difference between grace and law. Is the Law bad? What does it mean to live under grace?
